A little rain didn’t dampen spirits at Bellwood Elementary on the first day of the 2024-25 school year. The only year-round school in Chesterfield County Public Schools, Bellwood Elementary opened for a new year on July 22. (All other Chesterfield County schools follow a traditional calendar and their first day is Aug. 19.)
